Wear rails

Branscheid wear reils are made from high-manganese steel X120Mn12 (1.3401). The austenitic structure of this steel gives it its excellent toughness. While the hardness of the steel is between 200 - 220 HB when delivered, the surface hardness can increase to up to 600 HB due to strain hardening during operation. As a result, it only becomes harder in the stress area, but otherwise remains unbreakable and tough. This means that high-manganese steel is perfect for use as highly wear-resistant liner for conveyor chains.
