Drop-forged link chains

Double-strand chain

Maximum stability for the heaviest loads.
Branscheid double-strand chains are used wherever particularly high tensile forces, large conveying capacities, and demanding operating conditions must be reliably managed. Thanks to their double-strand design, they offer maximum smoothness of operation, uniform power transmission, and the highest level of operational safety—even under extreme operating conditions.

Double-strand chains

Our double-strand chains are always custom-designed solutions for our customers. They are subjected to a wide variety of conditions and must withstand the specific characteristics of the material being conveyed as well as the demands placed on conveyor chains. Our drop-forged link chains, which are double-strand chains, are manufactured in pitch sizes ranging from 150 to 315 mm.

The Welding Process

To optimize the welded joint between the drop-forged link and the driver, we use a burn-off butt welding machine with an integrated deburring device. The flash butt welding process is a computer-controlled welding procedure with parameter logging. This eliminates any adverse effects on the chain link caused by uneven preheating. The result is a homogeneous material structure and a seamless bond between the drop-forged links and the driver. We also utilize oxy-fuel and gas-shielded welding techniques. For use in particularly abrasive environments and to ensure a long service life, we reinforce our chain links with high-hardness armor wire.

To ensure optimal interaction throughout the entire conveying system, we naturally also manufacture the matching sprockets for our conveyor chains.

Wood Industry

Wood is a natural product, and working with it presents unique challenges. Every log has its own distinct characteristics. Wood chips and sawdust can quickly interfere with the operation of the machinery used to process it.
